Japanese RPGs and action games on PC: Steam keys and gifts, editions, region
Japanese games on PC cover a broad range: slow-burn story JRPGs, fast-paced action RPGs, crime dramas and large-scale monster hunting. On the marketplace they come in two delivery formats. A licensed Steam key you redeem yourself; a Steam gift is sent by a bot straight into your library. The gift mechanics are covered in our guide Software from Steam: how to accept a gift. Below is a pick by genre; we do not spoil the stories — only the genre, edition, format and region per the sellers’ listings.
Story-driven JRPGs
Persona 5 Royal is the extended edition of ATLUS’s beloved RPG: school life by day, raids on the “palaces” of the mind as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts by night. The format is a Steam key, activation region Russia and worldwide. Per the listing there is no Russian localization (English, Japanese and other languages), and the key must be activated by 2 September 2026.
NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition is an action RPG by PlatinumGames and Square Enix about combat androids 2B, 9S and A2. The YoRHa Edition bundles the base game with extra content. The format is a Steam gift: the account region is chosen in the options (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other CIS countries), and the price depends on it.
The Yakuza / Like a Dragon series
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s series began as Yakuza — crime dramas set in the Japanese underworld — and was later renamed Like a Dragon in the West. With Yakuza: Like a Dragon the series also changed its combat: instead of real-time action it switched to turn-based battles in the spirit of classic JRPGs. So this pick places two games of the same universe, with very different gameplay, side by side.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a turn-based role-playing game about Ichiban Kasuga, who starts his life over. The format is a Steam key in a Region Free edition (activation with no territorial limits), with Russian subtitles and interface.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is an action-adventure in which Goro Majima becomes a pirate off the coast of Hawaii. The Deluxe edition is sent as a Steam gift; you set your account region before buying, and the lot is for Steam only (not PlayStation).
Monster hunting
Monster Hunter: World is Capcom’s action RPG about hunting giant monsters: you craft weapons and armor from your spoils, solo or in co-op. The format is a Steam key, activation region Russia and CIS. Per the listing this is the base game without add-ons.
Monster Hunter Rise / Sunbreak is Capcom’s next “hunter” with new monsters. The format is a Steam key, activation in Russia, Ukraine and CIS countries. The options offer three editions: the base Rise game, the Sunbreak expansion and the Rise + Sunbreak Deluxe set. Note: Sunbreak is a DLC and requires the Rise base game installed.
Add-ons
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH — Kupo Charm & Survival Set is a DLC (an in-game item pack), not a game. FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH itself is not included and must already be owned on your Steam account. The format is a Steam key for the DLC, one-time activation. Per the listing the pack is not valid for accounts in Russia or Belarus, so check your region in advance.

What to check before paying
- Steam account region. The region in the listing is a neutral activation restriction of the item. Your account region must match it; the country is in your Steam settings.
- Edition. Royal, YoRHa, Deluxe, Sunbreak — the contents differ. Compare the option you picked with what the edition includes on the game’s Steam page.
- Game or add-on. FF7 Rebirth here is a DLC: it needs the base game already owned. Sunbreak is an expansion for Monster Hunter Rise.
- Format — key or gift. A key you redeem yourself; a gift you accept into your library (you provide a profile link and accept the bot’s friend invite). See our guide Software from Steam.
- Activation deadline. Persona 5 Royal has an activation deadline per the listing; confirm it before paying.
- Seller reviews on the listing — real activation and delivery experience with that seller.
