Isometric and classic RPGs on PC: Steam keys and gifts

Published: 6 min read

Isometric and classic role-playing games are built on a deep ruleset: a top-down camera, a party of heroes, skill-based progression and dozens of hours in a single run. On the storefront these games sell in two formats, and the format matters before you pay. A licensed Steam key you redeem yourself. A Steam gift works differently: the game arrives on your account from a bot, and the purchase flow is its own thing — the mechanics are covered in detail in our guide on accepting a Steam gift. Several of the games below support co-op, where a copy is needed for each player. The platform, edition, format and region are taken from the listings, nothing invented.

Modern CRPGs

Large party-based RPGs of recent years with turn-based combat and branching quests.

Baldur’s Gate 3 by Larian Studios is a sweeping campaign built on Dungeons & Dragons rules, with branching stories, turn-based combat and co-op for up to four players. Per the listing it is a Steam gift, not a key: a bot adds you as a friend and sends the game to your account around the clock. The recipient’s region is chosen in the options: Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and CIS. For a shared playthrough, each player needs a copy.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 by the same Larian is a landmark RPG set in Rivellon, with deep turn-based combat and co-op for up to four players. Per the listing it is a Steam gift for accounts with the Russia store region; the bot sends the game within a minute of payment. The game’s editor is included, per the description.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 — Divine Ascension is a separate listing and not the game itself but an add-on: a pack of digital bonus content for Divinity: Original Sin 2. Per the listing the Steam version of the base game is required for it to work, and the pack is delivered as a gift to your profile within 1–2 minutes. The distinction is simple: the base listing above is the full game, while Divine Ascension is bought on top of it separately.

Distinctive role-playing

Games that take the genre their own way — without a classic party, or without classes.

Disco Elysium: The Final Cut by ZA/UM is a detective RPG where your character explores a district, questions witnesses and unravels a case using dozens of skills. Per the listing it is a Steam gift for accounts with the Russia region; the Final Cut edition is the expanded one, with voice acting and extra tasks. The bot adds the game to your library automatically.

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is a fast-paced hack and slash action RPG with no class restrictions: you choose your own path and combine skills as you like. Per the listing it is a Steam gift for a Russia-region account; the bot sends the game within a minute of payment.

Genre classics

Fallout 1 + 2 + Tactics: Classic Collection bundles three classic post-apocalyptic RPGs that defined the genre: Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel. Per the listing this one, unlike the rest, is a Steam key that is region-free: it appears in your browser and by e-mail right after payment and activates in any country. The games in the bundle are in English.

What to check before paying

  • Format: key or gift. The Fallout Classic Collection is a Steam key that you redeem yourself. The other five are Steam gifts: a bot sends them, and the flow is different. See the gift mechanics in our guide on accepting a Steam gift.
  • Game or add-on. Divinity: Original Sin 2 appears as two listings: the base game and, separately, the Divine Ascension pack. Divine Ascension is an add-on and per the listing requires the Steam version of the game. Make sure you pick the option you actually want.
  • Region — a neutral restriction of the item. For the Divinity: Original Sin 2, Disco Elysium and Wolcen gifts, activation per the listings is only to accounts with the Russia store region. For Baldur’s Gate 3 the region is chosen in the options (RU/UA/KZ/BY/CIS). The Fallout Classic Collection is region-free. Match your account country in settings against the offer’s region before paying.
  • Co-op — a copy each. Baldur’s Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2 support a shared playthrough for up to four players; to play together, each player needs a copy.
  • Reviews and seller. Read the reviews on the listing — they reflect real activation experience with that specific seller. How a storefront differs from buying direct is covered in our guide on the marketplace versus the store directly.
  • After the purchase — account security. Basic steps to protect your account after activation are gathered in our guide on account security after purchase.

Prefer open worlds with a hero you level up? Large RPGs and open worlds are gathered in our guide on open-world RPG keys, and fast-paced action in our guide on Souls-like and action keys.

Bazelio is a storefront: payment is taken by the seller on the payment platform, and the seller handles the key delivery or gift delivery and support. More games are in the PC Games section.
