How to expand iCloud storage: 500 GB – 2 TB plans and the top-up format
Expanding Apple iCloud storage on a marketplace: why you need room for photos and backups, plans from 500 GB to 2 TB and how connection via Family Sharing works.

The free 5 GB in iCloud does not last long: photos, device backups and files fill it within weeks, after which automatic backup stops working. The fix is a larger storage plan. On the Bazelio marketplace it is sold as a top-up of your Apple ID, with no change of account. Let’s see how it works.
Why expand iCloud
Extra iCloud space is needed above all for:
- iPhone and iPad backups — a full device backup that restores onto a new phone “just as it was”.
- Photos and video — the iCloud Photos library syncs across devices and grows quickly, especially with video.
- Files in iCloud Drive — documents and folders available from any Apple device.
- App data — chats, notes and anything else that keeps a backup in the cloud.
Plans from 500 GB to 2 TB
Apple iCloud 500–2000 GB — storage upgrade (global) — an expansion of the cloud by 500 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB for photos, files and backups; the amount is chosen in the card options. Per the seller’s description, the connection works worldwide. 500 GB is usually enough for one device with a large photo library, while 2 TB suits several devices or a family.
How the connection works
Per the seller’s description, the space is connected through Family Sharing: the extra storage is added to your Apple ID, while each participant’s data stays isolated — no one sees anyone else’s photos and files. The format is a top-up: after payment you receive a 16-digit activation code, send it to the seller in the chat, and they connect the space to your account. There is no need to change or hand over your Apple ID password.
How code-in-the-chat delivery works is covered in the guide “The unique code and the seller chat”.
What to check before paying
- The amount in the chosen card option (500 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB) — and whether it is enough for your library and backups.
- The connection method: via Family Sharing to your Apple ID, with no password handed over.
- The validity period of the larger plan — confirm it with the seller on the card.
- The Apple ID state: Family Sharing should be available on the account.
- The seller’s reviews on the card — real experience of connections with that particular seller.
Bazelio is a storefront: the seller accepts payment on a payment platform and is responsible for the connection and support.
