GTA and Red Dead on the marketplace: Rockstar keys, Steam gifts and Xbox codes
Rockstar Games titles are the Grand Theft Auto crime sagas set in a sprawling open city and the western epic Red Dead Redemption 2 at the twilight of the Wild West. On the marketplace they are sold in different formats, and it is the format — not just the title — that determines how you receive the game. Three options appear here: a licensed Rockstar key for the Rockstar Games Social Club (RGSC) launcher, a Steam gift that a bot sends to your account, and an Xbox code for consoles. On top of that, listings differ by edition (Complete, Enhanced, Legacy, Premium, Standard or Ultimate) and by activation region. Here is how to read them by the listings.
Grand Theft Auto V
GTA V is the story of three protagonists in Los Santos plus the vast GTA Online mode. On the marketplace it is represented by four offers that differ in platform, edition and region.
- GTA V Enhanced — Rockstar key — the updated Enhanced version as a Rockstar key: you activate it on a Rockstar Games Social Club account. Per the listing the key is meant to activate across different countries and supports Russian; delivery is automatic and the key is single-use.
- GTA V Enhanced + Legacy — Steam gift — the Enhanced + Legacy bundle with story mode and GTA Online, but this one is a Steam gift, not a key. - GTA V — Xbox Series X/S code — the version for Xbox Series X/S consoles. The activation region is shown together with the code; per the listing a Russian interface localization is not stated by the seller.
- GTA 5 Premium Edition — Xbox key (Argentina) — the Premium edition with the main game and access to GTA Online, a key for Xbox One and Xbox Series. The key’s activation region is Argentina: this is a neutral restriction of the item, and your Microsoft account region must match it at activation.
In short: two lots are for PC (a Rockstar key and a Steam gift), two are for Xbox consoles. The Enhanced edition is the updated graphics, Legacy is the earlier version, and Premium is the bundle with GTA Online.
Grand Theft Auto IV
GTA IV: The Complete Edition (3 in 1) is the classic crime action game about Niko Bellic in Liberty City. The 3-in-1 Complete edition includes the base GTA IV plus both Episodes From Liberty City — The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. The format is a licensed key for the Rockstar Games Launcher (RGSC) — not a Steam version; activation requires a Rockstar Games Social Club account and an internet connection. Per the listing there are no regional restrictions (region free), the version is multilanguage with Russian subtitles, and the key is delivered right after payment.
Red Dead Redemption 2
RDR 2 is the open-world western about Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang. On the marketplace it is offered as two lots, both Steam gifts with auto-delivery, differing by edition and the set of regions.
- Red Dead Redemption 2 — Steam (all regions) — the game is gifted to your Steam account with a choice of edition (Standard or Ultimate) and region: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and CIS, Kazakhstan. The region and edition affect the price and are chosen in the options.
- Red Dead Redemption 2 — Steam gift (Russia and CIS) — the same in format, but per the listing the edition includes access to Red Dead Online, and the region list is wider: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and a separate option for Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The difference between the two RDR 2 lots is the edition choice (the second highlights Red Dead Online) and the list of available account regions.

What to check before paying
- Platform. A Rockstar key (RGSC) activates in the Rockstar launcher and does not work on Steam; a Steam gift lands in your Steam library; an Xbox code is only for the matching console. Pick the format for your platform.
- Region. The region is a neutral restriction of the item: your account country (Steam store or Microsoft) must match the option you select. For lots with a fixed region — for example the Premium Xbox key (Argentina) — confirm your account region in advance.
- Edition. Complete and Enhanced + Legacy are bundles; Premium includes GTA Online; for RDR 2 choose Standard or Ultimate. The contents of a specific edition are always worth confirming on the product page.
