Deep Rock Galactic kicks off Space Beach Party 2026

Deep Rock Galactic has launched its yearly summer celebration, the Space Beach Party 2026. The announcement went out on August 6: the lanterns are lit in the caves, and the developers say the festivities will run for the next two weeks.

As in previous years, this is not a separate mode or a paid add-on. It is a seasonal layer on top of regular missions — themed decorations plus a handful of limited-time activities that give returning and new dwarves a reason to descend into Hoxxes right now.

What the event includes

The headline activity is the floatie hunt. A fresh batch of lost floaties has been scattered through the mines, and finding them grants a Double Performance Pass Point Bonus. For anyone working through the Performance Pass, that multiplier is the clearest reason to log in during the event window.

There is also a seasonal work assignment. Complete it via the Mission Terminal and you unlock this year’s cosmetic reward, the Tactical Turtle hat. Like previous beach party cosmetics, it is tied to the current run of the event.

The announcement itself keeps the studio’s usual deadpan humour — management apparently considered switching off the air conditioning to build the beach atmosphere, before recalling that no air conditioning was ever installed.
