Nintendo eShop and Switch Online: top-up cards and subscription by region
The Nintendo eShop is the digital store for Nintendo Switch, while Nintendo Switch Online is the subscription for online play. Ahead of summer sales and exclusive releases it helps to know the difference in advance: a top-up card gives you a balance to spend, while the subscription unlocks online services. Both products are bound to the account’s region.
eShop top-up cards by region
A top-up card is a code that credits funds to your eShop wallet; you spend them on games, DLC and apps for Switch. The region is chosen to match your Nintendo account’s region:
- Nintendo eShop top-up code (US region) — for US-region accounts, with the code arriving by email right after payment.
- Nintendo eShop gift card 15–100 EUR — for European-region accounts, choose a denomination and the code is delivered instantly.
Nintendo Switch Online subscription
Switch Online unlocks online play in supported games, cloud saves and a library of classics:
- Nintendo Switch Online — 3 or 12 months (EU/PL/USA) — pick a region and term, and redeem the card in the eShop of the matching region.
How to redeem a code
eShop and Switch Online codes are redeemed the same way: on the Switch, open the Nintendo eShop under the right account → “Redeem code” and enter the code you received. The key condition — the account region must match the card region.
What to check before paying
- Account region — US, Europe, etc.; it must match the card or subscription region.
- What you need: a balance to spend (eShop card) or an online service (Switch Online).
- Denomination / term — chosen in the product options.
- Buyer reviews on the card — real-world delivery experience.
Bazelio is a storefront: payment is taken by the seller on the payment platform, and the seller handles delivery and support. For refund questions, see Refunds and disputes. Subscriptions and top-up cards live in the Game subscriptions category.
