Spotify, Deezer, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, TIDAL and VK Music: how music subscriptions are bought on a marketplace

Published: Updated: 5 min read

Music streaming is one of the most in-demand subscription types on digital marketplaces. The Bazelio catalogue has offers for six services: Spotify, Deezer, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, TIDAL and VK Music. The services differ in catalogue and sound quality, while the offers differ in access format: some are set up on your own account, others arrive as a ready account from the seller, and one comes as a promo code you activate yourself. Let’s look at all of these.

How the services themselves differ

  • Spotify — the largest ecosystem of playlists and podcasts; quality up to 320 kbps, with Lossless on the Platinum plan.
  • Deezer — over 90 million tracks, HiFi sound in FLAC; on request the seller transfers playlists from other services.
  • YouTube Music — streaming inside the Google ecosystem: ad-free music and podcasts, background playback and an audio-only mode.
  • SoundCloud — the home of independent artists; Go+ unlocks the full catalogue and offline mode, Artist Pro adds artist tools.
  • TIDAL — streaming focused on sound quality; the catalogue offer is the HiFi Plus plan.
  • VK Music — VKontakte’s music service; the subscription removes the limits of the free version and adds an equalizer, a sleep timer and an endless playlist.

Format 1: setup on your own account

  • Spotify Premium — subscription service for 1–12 months — Individual, Standard, Duo and Platinum plans; a one-time prepayment with no auto-renewal. Plans are set up on accounts with the Egypt or India region and the feature set depends on the region; you must not change the account country while the subscription is active, and the account must have no active Premium. If you specifically need a shared plan, there is a separate offer — Spotify Premium / Duo / Family — setup for 1–12 months: the same setup on your own account but focused on Duo (for two) and Family (up to six) alongside Individual and Platinum. Per the listing, the order enters an automatic activation queue, the billing region is Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan or India depending on term and plan, and the account must be on Spotify Free only.
  • Deezer Premium — 1–12 month subscription — individual plans are activated on your account, family options come as a family-plan invite, and on Duo and Family you own the plan.
  • YouTube Music Premium — 1 month on your account — set up on your Google account; with 2FA enabled, a one-time code is needed too. Note: this is YouTube Music specifically, not the full YouTube Premium — that is sold separately.

In all three cases the seller receives your sign-in details — change the password once the service is done.

Format 2: an issued account from the seller

How an issued account differs from setup on your own, and what its limitations are, is covered in our guide “Shared account, personal account or key”.

Format 3: a promo code on your own account

The Russian service VK Music — 30-day subscription promo code works differently: there are no sign-in details and no issued account here. You receive a promo code that you activate yourself in your VK account or the VK Music app — the 30-day subscription removes ads and adds background playback and track downloads. The code is delivered instantly and automatically after payment, and one promo code is good for a single activation. Per the listing, the offer is for users in Russia without an active subscription for more than 90 days and for new users, and the VK account must be registered in Russia.
