Claude Pro or Max: what the subscription includes and how to buy it
Claude is Anthropic’s AI assistant, valued for handling long documents, careful writing and coding help. Free access is limited in the number of requests, so for regular work people pick a paid plan — Pro or Max. Let’s break down how they differ and in which formats the subscription is sold in the catalog.
How Pro differs from Max
Pro is the base paid plan: higher limits than free access, priority at peak times, current Claude models. For everyday tasks — conversations, writing, working through documents — it is usually enough.
Max is the plan for intensive work. It comes in two tiers, labeled 5x and 20x in seller listings: the limits are a multiple of Pro’s — five and twenty times respectively. Per the sellers’ descriptions, the Max tiers also unlock tools such as Claude Code for working in the terminal. Max makes sense when you keep hitting Pro’s limits: many long sessions, large documents, heavy coding work.
Purchase formats in the catalog
The catalog listings arrange the subscription for a 1-month term, but the mechanics differ.
Code activation — no password handed over
Claude AI Pro / Max — 1-month subscription — activation on your own account via a code: no login or password is handed over, and delivery is automatic around the clock. You need an existing Claude account. This is the format that treats your credentials most carefully.
Claude Pro / Max — subscription set up on your account — a Pro, Max 5x or Max 20x subscription on your existing account; per the seller’s terms no password or mailbox access is needed — only your Claude account email. The plans include Claude Code, and completion takes about 5 minutes on average during working hours.
Claude Pro and Max — Anthropic subscription set up on your account — despite the “API” in the URL, this sets up or renews a regular Pro, Max 5× or Max 20× subscription on your existing account, not an API key. After payment you receive a code that you send to the seller in the order chat along with your Claude account email; the plans include Claude Code, with a term of 1 month or a year.
Renewal or upgrade with seller login
Claude Pro and Max — subscription renewal — a renewal or tier upgrade on your account: the seller needs your email and password, and you should change the password once the order is done. The same listing has a “new account” option — the seller registers an account with the subscription and hands the credentials to you. Manual orders are processed during the seller’s working hours.
Upgrade through billing, or a new account
Claude Pro / Max — upgrade or new account — the upgrade goes through the service’s billing: you provide the account email and confirm sign-in with a code, no password handed over. The alternative is a new account with the subscription in full ownership; for Max 20x this seller also offers a one-year variant. Note one condition: don’t change a new account’s password for the first three days.
Claude Pro / Max — ready account with subscription, 1 month — a whole new account with a Pro, Max 5x or Max 20x subscription: the login and password arrive automatically right after payment, and the subscription is issued once you contact the seller in the order chat. The account is handed over completely — you can change the security details to your own; old chat history does not transfer.
How “activation on your account” differs from an issued account, and why that affects the price, is covered in our guide “Shared account, personal account or key”. And if you are still choosing between assistants, see the guide to buying ChatGPT Plus and Pro — the formats there work in a similar way.
What to check before paying
- The tier and format in the chosen option. In multi-variant listings, Pro, Max 5x and Max 20x, renewal and new account are different options of the same listing — verify your pick before paying.
- That you have a Claude account. Code activation, renewal and upgrade all require your own account and access to its email.
- Whether sign-in details are handed over. If the seller logs in to your account — change the password after the order is completed; the “code” and “through billing” variants avoid this.
- The post-payment flow. Some offers require sending a unique code in the seller chat — that’s what starts the order.
- The warranty and refund rules of the specific offer — described on the product page and by the seller.
- Regional availability of the service and buyer reviews on the listing.
Bazelio is a storefront: payment is taken by the seller on the payment platform, and the seller handles activation, warranty and support. If something goes wrong, the process is described on the “Refunds & disputes” page, and other AI services are collected in the Subscriptions category.
