Canva Pro and Affinity: invite, account or perpetual license — a designer's choice
Canva and Affinity solve different problems. Canva is an online design service sold by subscription: social posts, presentations and banners built from ready-made templates. Affinity Photo is a “classic” graphics editor for deep retouching and compositing that you buy once and use without a subscription. The purchase formats on a marketplace differ too — from a team invite to a perpetual key. Let’s go through what the catalog offers.
Canva Pro formats in the catalog
Team invite
The most common format: you sign in to Canva with your own account and get Pro features by joining a team via the seller’s link. That’s how Canva Pro — invite-based subscription works, with terms from 1 to 5 months, and Canva Pro — team invite link for 1 or 6 months, where the link is delivered automatically right after payment. No password handover is needed and your designs stay in your profile — but keep in mind: it’s a seat in someone else’s team, not a separate personal Pro subscription. How an invite differs from other access formats is covered in “Shared account, personal account or key”.
Subscription on your own account
Canva Pro — 6 months on your account is arranged through a Canva education license: you share the email of your account, the seller sends an invitation, and no password is required. From the listing’s conditions: there are no refunds after successful activation, so decide in advance whether the education-license format works for you.
Combo with Affinity
Canva Pro + Affinity — bundle for 1–6 months is Canva Pro on your own account via a team invite plus access to Affinity Suite and Canva AI 2.0 (Dream Lab, Magic Studio, Magic Removal). The invite is sent to the email you provide at checkout; a refund is possible only before activation.
Affinity: a license forever
If you dislike the subscription model in principle, there is Affinity Photo V1.9 — perpetual license: an activation key for Windows covering 1 PC, with no recurring fees and instant delivery after payment. The listing’s limitations: the key fits version 1 (V1.9) only and does not work with V2; a 64-bit Windows is required. You download the installer from the official Affinity update pages and enter the key at first launch.
Choosing at a glance
| Task | The right option |
|---|---|
| Quick in-browser design for a month or two | Canva Pro via an invite |
| Canva Pro long-term on your own account | 6 months via the education license |
| Canva plus photo and vector tools in one go | The Canva Pro + Affinity bundle |
| Deep retouching with no subscription or renewals | Affinity Photo, perpetual key |
What to check before paying
- The access format in the “Important conditions” block: a team invite is not a separate personal Pro subscription.
- The Canva account email at checkout — a wrong address delays the invite delivery.
- Refund rules: some offers exclude refunds after activation.
- For Affinity Photo — compatibility with 64-bit Windows and the fact that it is version V1.9, not V2.
- Regional availability — the service may be unavailable in some regions, as stated on the product pages.
- Buyer reviews on the listing — real delivery experience with the specific seller.
If your work goes beyond template-based design, compare these tools with the Adobe suite — its formats are covered in our Creative Cloud and Acrobat guide. And for AI image generation as a standalone tool, see the Midjourney guide.
Bazelio is a storefront: payment is taken by the seller on the payment platform, and the seller handles delivery and support. Subscription services are collected in the Subscriptions category, and perpetual-license software lives in the Software category.
