Battlefield 6 x Top Gun: two new modes and a limited event
Battlefield 6 launches a Top Gun crossover with modes Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep and Carrier Strike, event challenges, themed cosmetics and a limited-time currency.
Battlefield 6 is running a crossover with Top Gun, described by the developers as the game’s most significant seasonal event so far. The announcement comes with a cinematic trailer that acts as a mission briefing: it sets the tone for the event and makes clear where the focus lies — on aircraft and air combat.
The event is built around two new themed modes, a set of event challenges, themed cosmetic items and a separate currency that only exists while the crossover runs. In other words, this is not just a skin drop but a seasonal block of activities with its own progression layer.
What the event includes
The first mode is Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep — a Gauntlet variant leaning into aerial objectives. The second is Carrier Strike, which puts an aircraft carrier assault right in the name. Both are part of the crossover and carry its visual styling.
Alongside the modes come event challenges. These are typically the route to in-game rewards, and here the reward pool is backed by themed cosmetics. The limited-time currency is the piece worth watching: it is introduced specifically for the crossover, so anything you accumulate is best spent before the event closes. No extensions or carry-over were promised in the announcement.
Exact dates, the full reward list and individual item costs were not detailed in the announcement, so check the game itself and official Battlefield 6 channels for those. We are not adding numbers that the source did not state.
What it means if you are planning to buy
Seasonal events with time-limited currency work the same way everywhere: the later you start, the less you complete. If you do not own Battlefield 6 yet and the Top Gun tie-in is what finally sells you on the game, it makes sense not to wait for the closing days — challenges take playtime, and temporary currency does not roll over into later seasons.
The second practical point is platform and region. Battlefield 6 is sold in several delivery formats: Steam gifts, region-specific versions and options with region change, plus builds tied to the EA App and Epic Games. If you plan to play with friends, confirm in advance where their copy lives and whether the activation method lines up. Seasonal content is shared, but co-op convenience depends on the platform.
Bazelio aggregates offers from different sellers — for example Battlefield 6 — Steam gift, auto-delivery (Russia + world regions). Current price, eligible regions and delivery terms are always set by the seller, so read them in the product card before ordering; the purchase itself is completed on the partner platform.
If you want to compare editions and activation routes side by side, start from the PC Games section, where the listings are grouped for easier comparison.
One last thing to keep in mind: themed modes such as Carrier Strike and Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep are temporary by design. If the crossover-flavoured air combat is specifically what draws you in, the window is tied to the event window. The game’s standard modes, of course, remain available once it wraps up.
