League of Legends: topping up RP and the new patch — what to know
League of Legends keeps evolving: patch 26.13 has announced a new assassin champion with ability-power (AP) damage. New champions are a classic reason to come back, and a good moment to top up Riot Points (RP) to unlock the champion, skins or the battle pass.
What RP is and what it covers
RP is the in-game currency of League of Legends. It buys champions, skins, chests, XP boosts and the battle pass. The game does not sell progression or gameplay advantages for real money — RP goes to cosmetics and convenience, so you can top up calmly for a specific goal.
Card or balance top-up
Two formats appear on the storefront:
- An RP top-up card — you get a code and activate it yourself. Handy when you want to do everything yourself. Examples: an RP card for EU and Riot Points West/NA.
- A balance top-up — the seller adds the amount to your account. Example: a top-up for Russia.
The key thing — pick the right region
RP is tied to the account’s server/region: a code for EU won’t activate on North America and vice versa. Before buying, check which server your account is on (EU West, EU Nordic & East, North America, etc.) — the region is always stated on the product card as a neutral attribute.
How to buy safely
- Determine your League of Legends account region.
- Choose the RP amount for your goal (champion, skin, pass).
- Confirm the delivery format: a code card or a balance top-up.
- Payment and delivery happen on the seller’s side — Bazelio shows the price, region and rating. Everything about game-currency top-ups is in the game currency section.
